Enabling Smoothing

There are two ways to access smoothing controls:

Settings Drawer

Click the settings icon in the chart toolbar to open the line chart settings drawer. The Line Smoothing section lets you:
  1. Toggle smoothing on/off
  2. Select a smoothing algorithm
  3. Adjust the algorithm parameter with a slider
  4. Toggle visibility of the origina Screenshot 2026 02 09 At 8 05 07 PM

Inline Toolbar

Each line chart group has an inline smoothing slider in its toolbar for quick access. This lets you enable smoothing and adjust the parameter without opening the full settings drawer. Screenshot 2026 02 09 At 8 04 55 PM

Algorithms

Pluto supports the following four smoothing algorithms.
  • Exponential Moving Average (EMA)
  • Time Weighted EMA (TWEMA)
  • Gaussian
  • Running Average
